Meet mental health therapist Ghesline DePedro, LPC.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon (#C11176), providing telehealth individual counseling to adults. I’m passionate about helping people navigate their way toward greater health and well-being. I love the complexity of the human experience and find purpose in holding space for the full range of human emotion.
I work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, suicidal ideation, obsessions and compulsions, and neurodivergence in a world largely designed for neurotypical people.
I believe it’s important to create spaces where people can turn for relief during their darkest moments. Equally, I value creating space for people to unmask and be fully themselves, regardless of how well they may appear to function on the outside.
Approach
My approach to therapy is based on each client’s needs, while also reflecting my own personality and therapeutic style. I don’t believe one modality works for everyone. Instead, I draw from different approaches depending on what you’re looking for, what we’re working on, and what seems to work best for you.
Before introducing structured or action-based interventions, I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being honest and fully yourself.
Some of the approaches I commonly integrate include:
Humanistic / Person-Centered Therapy
Relational Therapy
EMDR
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Solution-Focused Therapy

My Style
My style is direct, with a mixture of acceptance, validation, and challenge. I hold genuine positive regard for my clients while helping guide them toward change—whatever that might look like for each individual.
I value authenticity in the therapeutic relationship and model congruence, boundaries, and repair when needed. I center our work together based on the client’s values and goals. Sometimes I use personal disclosure and storytelling thoughtfully when it may help clients feel less alone in their experiences.
Being trauma-informed is one of my highest priorities. That means gaining consent, offering alternatives, respecting boundaries, and allowing clients to maintain a sense of choice and autonomy throughout the therapeutic process.
